Kemi’s Story: From Trafficking to Hope
A powerful reminder of why our work matters.
As a young girl, Kemi was trafficked from her rural village and sent to work as a domestic servant in the city far from home, out of school, and vulnerable to further exploitation.
When we intervened, her life began to change.
We ensured she was safe and provided everything she needed to start school for the first time. Tuition, supplies, uniforms, mentorship, and consistent follow-up.
As we walked alongside her family, their mindset shifted.
Two of Kemi’s younger siblings are now in school for the first time ever. A breakthrough born from trust, patience, and hope.
Today, Kemi is thriving.

WHO WE ARE
Advance Benin is a nonprofit founded in 2021 to provide educational opportunities for underprivileged children in Benin. What began with helping one girl, Kemi, attend school has grown into a multi-location effort supporting dozens of children.

Our Programs
Advance Benin protects vulnerable children from trafficking, child labor, and early child marriage by giving them what every child deserves. A safe path to education and a chance at a better future.
We remove the barriers that keep children out of school by providing full scholarships, essential school supplies, and one-on-one academic support.
Through deep community engagement, we work directly with parents in rural villages to raise awareness, shift harmful traditions, and promote education as a powerful alternative to exploitation.
And with our long-term plan to build resource centers offering books, technology, and life-skills training, we are creating safe spaces where children can learn, thrive, and dream without fear.

In Benin, school may be free, but the cost of supplies keeps countless children out of the classroom. Struggling families are forced to choose between food and education, leaving dreams on hold year after year.

After primary school, many bright students are forced to stop their education due to rising costs. With just $50/month, you can help cover tuition, books, and supplies, giving a child the chance to continue learning and build a future beyond poverty.
Powering Potential: Need for School Resource Centers
Advance Benin is prioritizing the urgent need to build solar-powered resource centers in underserved communities. Spaces filled with books, technology, and essential learning tools.
These centers are vital for students to succeed and stay engaged in their education.
WE PARTNER WITH COMMUNITIES
Local staff start by partnering with the community leaders to establish a relationship with the schools. Our aim is to enable children, with their families and communities, to build a better future for themselves.

Your donation provides essential school supplies as well as any documentation these children may need to enroll and attend their local school for one year. By donating, you are sharing love and giving hope through an educational opportunity to some of the poorest and most vulnerable children as identified by local leaders.
